Started in Roanoke (delayed ofc) → made it to Atlanta with time to spare → had to check my bag before boarding for Paris bc the flight was full… then sat on the plane for 2 hours so I missed my connection to Helsinki.

Air France rebooked me on Finnair (cool) but the new ticket barcode wouldn’t load since I’d already checked in (not cool), and security wouldn’t let me through without it.

Cue a full-blown airport scavenger hunt:

• Waited in endless lines

• Air France said “not our problem, talk to Finnair”

• Had to take a bus, go through customs, and fully leave the airport just to find Finnair’s front desk… where they printed the new boarding pass in about five seconds 🙃

At that point boarding for the new flight closed in 15 minutes, so I literally SPRINTED through the Paris airport like it was the Olympics, cut a bunch of people in yet another security line, and somehow made it on my plane just in time.

Landed in Helsinki… and ofc my bag didn’t make it (which means I have no clothes or toiletries, except for my Katy Perry costume I was carrying with me 🤣). Filed a report, hopped on the metro and a bus, missed my stop bc I didn’t know how to open the door (iconic), had to backtrack, but finally made it to my slightly sketchy hostel.

Already wild times but at least I booked a room to myself for this first stop bc I’m pooped! Finnair claims they’re delivering my bag tomorrow… we’ll see 👀
